Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead for Remote Operations Center in Barcelona to ensure offshore wind assets run safely and efficiently. You will monitor turbines, diagnose issues, and coordinate with field teams during commissioning and service phases.

Ideal candidates hold an engineering degree, have hands-on wind turbine experience, know SCADA tools, and communicate clearly in English. Worldwide travel up to 20% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on wind energy or electromechanical systems experience in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting.
• Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear technical communication.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
• Fluent English (spoken and written); willingness to relocate to Barcelona; EU work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
