Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead for the Remote Operations Center (Wind Energy) in Barcelona to oversee the safe, efficient operation of offshore wind assets from a remote hub, participating in commissioning and service phases to maximize turbine reliability.

You will monitor performance, diagnose faults, support field teams, analyze data and drive continuous improvement, with travel up to 20% and a rotating weekday shift including occasional on-call weekend support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Hands-on wind turbine or electromechanical systems experience.
• Ability to read electrical schematics for troubleshooting.
• Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools.
• Strong communication and collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvements
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with occasional on-call weekends/public holidays
