Job summary

GE Vernova is hiring for a ROC Technical Lead - Remote Operations Center (Wind Energy) in Barcelona, Spain. You will oversee safe, efficient offshore wind asset operation from a remote center, guiding commissioning and service activities and analyzing data for improvements.

You’ll read electrical schematics, work with SCADA tools, and communicate technically with field and engineering teams. Expect up to 20% travel, relocation to Barcelona, and EU eligibility for employment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent wind energy experience.
• Hands-on wind turbine or electromechanical systems experience in operations.
• Ability to read electrical schematics for troubleshooting.
• Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities via remote diagnostics.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear, structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to solve problems.
• Analyze operational data to identify faults and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvements and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages with safety and compliance as a priority.
• Work on rotating weekday shifts with on-call weekend/public holiday support.
