TEICON ENGINEERING is currently recruiting a Welding Site Supervisor (m/f/d) for Tarragona, either on a fixed-term contract or as a freelance consultant. The project runs until March 2026 with a demanding schedule of 56 hours per week, 6 days per week, on site in Tarragona.

The candidate will supervise welding work, verify weld quality, conduct VT Level 2 tests, and, if qualified, perform RT Level 2 radiography. A strong safety culture and coordination with multiple teams are essential.

Formación

• Certified Welding Engineer or Welding Specialist.
• NDT VT Level 2 certification; RT Level 2 is a strong asset.
• Experience supervising welding on large industrial construction projects.
• In-depth knowledge of welding processes and international standards.
• Strong communication for an international site environment.

Responsabilidades

YOUR PROJECT ASSIGNMENT

TEICON ENGINEERING invites you to join an ambitious project in Tarragona, where we're constructing a state-of-the-art facility for the production of industrial gases. This role is your chance to contribute to a massive project involving superstructures for methane and ethylene production, set to be transported to the United States.

• Duration: Until March 2026
• Workload: 56 hours per week, 6 days per week

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise and coordinate all welding activities on site in accordance with project specifications, codes, and standards.
• Monitor and verify the performance of welders and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with approved welding procedures and quality requirements.
• Conduct and document visual testing (VT Level 2) of welds, identifying defects and ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
• Support and, if qualified, perform radiographic testing (RT Level 2) and evaluate X-ray films for accurate assessment of weld quality.
• Ensure that all welding work complies with safety regulations, project-specific requirements, and applicable international standards.
• Collaborate closely with construction, quality, and commissioning teams to resolve welding-related punch points and non-conformities.
• Maintain welding inspection records, issue daily reports, and contribute to lessons learned for future projects.
• Promote a strong HSE culture throughout all welding-related activities.

YOUR PROFILE

• Certified as Welding Engineer or Welding Specialist.
• Certified in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) with Visual Testing (VT) Level 2; additional certification in Radiographic Testing (RT) Level 2 is a strong asset.
• Proven experience in evaluating radiographic films and reporting weld quality results.
• Several years of experience in supervising welding works within large-scale industrial construction projects.
• In-depth knowledge of welding processes, inspection methods, and applicable international standards.
• Strong communication and coordination skills in an international site environment.
• Proactive and solution-oriented mindset with high attention to technical detail and compliance.
