TEICON ENGINEERING GmbH / TEICON Projects GmbH is recruiting a Scaffolding Coordinator for Tarragona, Spain, with fixed-term or freelance options. The role centers on leading scaffolding activities on a large industrial project, ensuring safety and compliance while coordinating with diverse on-site teams.

The candidate should have relevant technical education and several years of scaffolding coordination experience, with knowledge of Layher/Peri systems and a proactive safety mindset.

Formación

• Completed apprenticeship or degree in a relevant technical field.
• Several years of practical scaffolding coordination or supervision experience.
• Familiar with Layher, Peri or similar systems and safety standards.
• Certifications such as CISRS/OSHA are advantageous.
• Ability to coordinate subcontractors and multinational teams; good communication.
• English strong; Spanish knowledge advantageous in Spain.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate and supervise scaffolding activities on site for safety and efficiency.
• Plan, approve, and monitor installations, modifications, and dismantling.
• Verify scaffold design compliance and maintain tagging and handover docs.

TEICON ENGINEERING is is currently recruiting for a Scaffolding Coordinator (m/f/d), either on a fixed-term contract or as a freelance consultant.

Full Time Tarragona, Provinz Tarragona, Spanien With Professional Experience

YOUR PROJECT ASSIGNMENT

TEICON ENGINEERING invites you to join an ambitious project in Tarragona, where we're constructing a state-of-the-art facility for the production of industrial gases. This role is your chance to lead efforts on a massive project involving superstructures for methane and ethylene production, set to be transported to the United States.

• Project Location: Tarragona, Spain
• Start Date: 08.12.2025
• Completion of Work: approx. April 2027
• Contract Type: Fixed-term employment or freelance contract
• Duration: Minimum 18 months, with possibility of extension
• Workload: 56 hours per week, 6 days per week

YOUR RESPONSIBILIES

• Coordinate and supervise all scaffolding-related activities on site to ensure safe and efficient execution in line with project requirements and applicable standards.
• Liaise with construction management, safety, and contractor teams to plan, approve, and monitor scaffolding installations, modifications, and dismantling activities.
• Verify scaffolding structures for compliance with design, stability, and safety criteria before use and after any changes.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation and ensure proper tagging, inspection, and handover of scaffolds.
• Support the development of scaffolding plans and schedules in coordination with discipline supervisors and contractors.
• Ensure that all scaffolding operations comply with site safety procedures, legal requirements, and project specifications.
• Conduct regular inspections of scaffolding works and provide feedback or corrective actions where necessary.
• Participate in coordination meetings and contribute to safe work planning and risk assessments.
• Promote best practices in scaffolding safety and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives on site.

YOUR PROFILE

• You have a completed apprenticeship or degree in a relevant technical field, such as Scaffolder, Mechanical Technician, Industrial Mechanic, Plant Mechanic, Draftsperson, Construction Technician, or a university degree such as BEng/MEng or BSc/MSc in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Construction Management.
• You have several years of practical experience in scaffolding coordination, supervision, or erection within industrial construction, petrochemical, or energy projects.
• You are familiar with scaffolding systems (e.g. Layher, Peri, or similar), inspection and approval processes, and general construction site safety standards.
• Relevant certifications such as CISRS Scaffolding Supervisor/Manager Training, OSHA Construction Safety, or equivalent are an advantage.
• You have proven ability to coordinate subcontractors, manage interfaces, and maintain clear communication within multinational site teams.
• You have good command of English; Spanish language skills and previous experience in Spain are an advantage.
• You are proactive, safety-conscious, and have a structured, solution-oriented mindset that ensures high-quality and compliant execution on site.
