The Josep Carreras Leukaemia Research Institute (IJC) solicits applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Chromatin Biology Laboratory led by Dr. Alejandro Vaquero.
The project studies SIRT7/PAX5 interplay in B-cell differentiation and B-ALL using mouse models, proteomics, and genomics to understand genome regulation under stress. The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team in Barcelona, with a 3-year contract, highly competitive salary, and access to cutting-edge
The Josep Carreras Leukaemia Research Institute (IJC) is a comprehensive cancer research center dedicated to the study of leukaemia and other hematologic malignancies. We are seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher for the Chromatin Biology Laboratory led by Dr. Alejandro Vaquero.
The Chromatin Biology Laboratory focuses on the role of the Sirtuin family of enzymes in regulating genome stability and epigenetics under stress conditions, and their impact on cancer, senescence, and aging.
The successful candidate will explore the molecular and epigenetic mechanisms controlling the SIRT7/PAX5 interplay in B-cell differentiation and B‑Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (B‑ALL). The project utilizes a multidisciplinary approach, combining molecular and cellular biology techniques with genomics, proteomics, and metabolomics in mouse models and patient‑derived leukemia models.
Please submit your application by July 22nd, 2026.
