The Josep Carreras Leukaemia Research Institute (IJC) solicits applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Chromatin Biology Laboratory led by Dr. Alejandro Vaquero.

The project studies SIRT7/PAX5 interplay in B-cell differentiation and B-ALL using mouse models, proteomics, and genomics to understand genome regulation under stress. The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team in Barcelona, with a 3-year contract, highly competitive salary, and access to cutting-edge

Formación

• PhD in Biology, Biomedicine, Medicine, or a related discipline.
• Strong interest in cancer biology, especially stress response, hematological malignancies, and immune regulation.
• Demonstrated experience with mouse models (essential), preferably in leukemia and/or sirtuin biology.
• Expertise in molecular and cellular biology techniques, including protein biochemistry, immunofluorescence, flow cytometry (FACS), and experience with proteomic and genomic approaches (essential).
• Previous experience in stress response pathways and/or sirtuin biology is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Responsabilidades

• Explore molecular and epigenetic mechanisms controlling SIRT7/PAX5 interplay in B-cell differentiation and B-ALL.
• Use multidisciplinary approaches combining molecular biology, genomics, proteomics in mouse and patient-derived leukemia models.
• Collaborate with clinical and pre-clinical B-ALL researchers and drug discovery teams.
