Job description

Join a leading international infrastructure company with a strong presence across Europe and the Americas. We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our U.S. data center development strategy from Spain, driving market expansion, identifying new opportunities, and overseeing projects from origination through execution in one of the world’s most dynamic digital infrastructure markets.

Your mission:

As Data Center Development Manager, you will drive the origination, strategic planning, and execution of data center projects across the U.S. — with a strong focus on site acquisition, permitting, and real estate development. You will play a key role in identifying and securing new locations for low-carbon, energy-efficient data centers, coordinating with stakeholders across the real estate, digital infrastructure, and energy sectors.

Your main responsibilities will be:
  • Identify and originate new data center opportunities, with a focus on land acquisition, zoning, and long-term value creation.
  • Lead site selection and negotiation processes, engaging with landowners, developers, and public authorities.
  • Oversee all aspects of permitting and regulatory approval, including building and energy-related permits.
  • Manage early-stage development activities, including feasibility, market positioning, and investment memos.
  • Coordinate with internal technical and energy teams to ensure alignment on timelines and site specifications.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local communities and infrastructure stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the national growth strategy and site rollout plan in alignment with company goals.
  • Ensure compliance with real estate and environmental.
What we’re looking for:
  • 4+ years of experience on site origination, or infrastructure projects (e.g., data centers, logistics parks, energy or industrial assets).
  • Proven track record in land negotiation, zoning, and permitting.
  • Strong understanding of the US real estate market.
  • Excellent project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Willingness to travel between US and Spain twice per month.
