remoteo seeks an experienced Land Development Manager to lead land development for data center projects in Spain. You will coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders to deliver construction-ready sites, focusing on zoning, permitting and off-site infrastructure.

The ideal candidate has 5–10 years in project or program management, fluent Spanish and business English, and is based in Spain (Madrid or Zaragoza preferred).

Formación

• 5–10 years of experience in project or program management.

• Fluent Spanish and business-level English.

Responsabilidades

• Lead land development activities across multiple data center projects.
• Drive zoning, planning, permitting and site development through to construction-ready status.
• Coordinate with Acquisition, Construction, Engineering & Design, Utilities, Fiber, Environmental, Water, Power, Procurement and Legal teams.
• Develop and maintain permitting schedules and interdependencies milestones.
• Collaborate with local, regional and national authorities in Spain.
• Develop and support strategic development plans and regional strategies.
• Prepare project status reports, schedules, risk assessments and executive presentations.
• Manage Architect/Engineer scopes of work and proposals.
• Support funding control and expenditure management.
• Identify project challenges and implement practical delivery solutions.
• Promote cross-functional collaboration across projects.

We are seeking an experienced Land Development Manager to join our team and support the development of complex data center projects in Spain.

This is an exciting opportunity for a development professional with strong expertise in real estate planning, zoning and permitting, who is looking to contribute to high-impact infrastructure projects within a dynamic and international environment.

The successful candidate will lead and coordinate land development activities, working closely with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders to deliver construction-ready sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead land development activities
• across multiple data center projects.
• Drive zoning, planning, permitting and site development processes through to construction-ready status.
• Coordinate with Acquisition, Construction, Engineering & Design, Utilities, Fiber, Environmental, Water, Power, Procurement and Legal teams.
• Develop and maintain permitting schedules, ensuring coordination of project interdependencies and milestones.
• Establish effective collaboration with local, regional and national authorities in Spain.
• Develop and support strategic development plans and regional strategies.
• Prepare project status reports, schedule updates, risk assessments, business cases and executive presentations.
• Manage Architect/Engineer (AE) scopes of work and proposals.
• Support funding control and expenditure management.
• Identify project challenges and implement practical solutions to ensure successful delivery.
• Promote effective development practices and cross-functional collaboration across projects.

Location

Madrid, Spain.

Candidates based in Madrid or Zaragoza are preferred.

Requirements

• 5--10 years of experience in project management and/or program management.
• Strong knowledge of real estate planning and development, including zoning, permitting, planning permissions, utility delivery and off-site infrastructure upgrade agreements. Demonstrated knowledge of zoning and permitting processes for complex real estate developments in Spain (mandatory).
• Fluent Spanish and business-level English.
• Based in Spain, preferably in Madrid or Zaragoza.
• Experience working in fast-paced environments and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills and experience working with Spanish public administrations.
• Ability to develop and manage permitting schedules and understand project interdependencies.
• Excellent organizational, communication and analytical skills.
• Experience preparing strategic plans, executive presentations and comprehensive project documentation.

Desirable Experience

• Previous experience in data center development or other complex infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of accelerated permitting programmes, such as PIGA.
• Experience in regional development strategies and large-scale real estate projects.
• Experience managing consultant scopes, proposals and expenditure.
