Neotalent Conclusion is seeking a TX Network Operations Engineer (L2) to join our teams and support a major telecommunications client in Spain. You will handle Level 2 incidents, perform diagnostics, and contribute to network reliability in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires at least 3 years in TX operations, experience with Cisco/Huawei/Juniper devices, and a 24x7 on-call readiness. A telecommunications or IT degree is expected and continuous training is offered.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Telecommunications, IT or related field.
  • At least 3 years in Transport Network (TX) operations and maintenance.
  • Experience in NOC/BO/TOC environments and L2 support.

Responsabilidades

  • Be responsible for operation and maintenance of Transport Networks (TX).
  • Manage Level 2 (L2) technical incidents, diagnosing and resolving network issues.
  • Carry out troubleshooting and root cause analysis in telecommunications networks.
  • Monitor network performance using monitoring and alarm management tools.
  • Operate networks based on MPLS, MPLS-VPN, OSPF, BGP, QoS, and Traffic Engineering."
  • Provide support for equipment from Cisco, Huawei, Juniper (and Nokia/Alcatel-Lucent in some environments).
  • Support transport technologies including MSTP, SDH, DWDM/WDM, Microwave TX, and IP Transport.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to ensure service availability and continuity.
  • Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation when required.

We are looking for a TX Network Operations Engineer (L2) to join our teams and work with a major client in the Telecommunications sector.

What will your responsibilities be?
  • Be responsible for the operation and maintenance of Transport Networks (TX).
  • Manage Level 2 (L2) technical incidents, performing analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of network issues.
  • Carry out troubleshooting activities and root cause analysis within telecommunications networks.
  • Monitor network performance through monitoring and alarm management tools.
  • Operate and manage infrastructures based on MPLS, MPLS-VPN, OSPF, BGP, QoS, and Traffic Engineering technologies.
  • Provide support and maintenance for equipment from vendors such as Cisco, Huawei, Juniper, and, in some environments, Nokia/Alcatel-Lucent.
  • Support and manage transport technologies including MSTP, SDH, DWDM/WDM, Microwave TX, and IP Transport.
  • Collaborate with different operational teams to ensure service availability and continuity.
  • Participate in the 24x7 on-call support rotation when required.
What profile are we looking for?
  • University degree, Higher Vocational Training, or equivalent experience in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, Information Technologies, or Data Communications.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Transport Network (TX) operations and maintenance.
  • Previous experience in NOC, Back Office (BO), or Telecommunications Operations Center environments.
  • Experience providing Level 2 (L2) technical support.
  • Proven experience in telecommunications network operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of routers, switches, and remote access systems/servers for network equipment management.
  • Experience working with Cisco, Huawei, and/or Juniper equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of routing protocols and technologies, including OSPF, BGP, MPLS, MPLS-VPN, QoS, and Traffic Engineering.
  • Experience with network monitoring, alarm management, and performance analysis tools.
  • Knowledge of transport technologies such as MSTP, SDH, DWDM/WDM, Microwave TX, and IP Transport.
  • Basic understanding of network infrastructure, including fiber optics, microwave links, and copper-based networks.
  • Availability to participate in a 24x7 on-call support model.
Nice to Have
  • Knowledge of EIGRP.
  • Experience with Alcatel-Lucent/Nokia technologies and equipment.
  • Knowledge of PDH, ATM, and DSL technologies.
