We are looking for a Senior TX Network Technical Lead to join our teams and work with a leading client in the Telecommunications sector.
What will your responsibilities be?
- Lead the operation and maintenance activities of Transport Networks (TX) within a telecommunications environment.
- Act as the technical reference point and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for engineering teams, providing guidance and support in complex technical scenarios.
- Manage and coordinate the resolution of critical incidents and high-impact technical issues.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis of network faults and service degradations.
- Assess the technical and operational impact of network solutions, configurations, and complex changes prior to implementation.
- Lead critical operational situations under high-pressure environments, ensuring service continuity and rapid restoration.
- Monitor network performance and service quality through monitoring, alarm management, and performance analysis tools.
- Operate, maintain, and optimize IP Transport infrastructures and routing environments based on OSPF, BGP, MPLS, MPLS-VPN, QoS, and Traffic Engineering.
- Provide technical leadership within complex multi-platform and multi-vendor network environments.
- Support and maintain technologies from vendors such as Huawei, Cisco, Juniper, and, where applicable, Nokia/Alcatel-Lucent.
- Manage and support transport technologies including DWDM/WDM, Microwave TX, MSTP, and transmission infrastructures based on fiber optics.
- Participate in the on-call support model and provide technical leadership during escalations when required.
What profile are we looking for?
- University degree, Higher Vocational Training, or equivalent experience in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, Information Technology, or Data Communications.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Transport Network (TX) operations and maintenance.
- Strong experience in Telecommunications NOC/Back Office environments.
- Proven experience managing critical incidents and solving complex technical problems.
- Experience working in multi-platform and multi-vendor environments.
- Previous experience as a Technical Lead, SME, or technical reference for engineering teams.
- Strong ability to assess the technical and operational impact of network solutions, configurations, and changes.
- Ability to lead critical situations under high operational pressure.
- High level of autonomy in analysis, decision-making, and problem-solving.
- Advanced knowledge of routers, switches, and remote access systems for network equipment.
- Advanced experience with Huawei, Cisco, and/or Juniper technologies.
- Strong expertise in OSPF, BGP, MPLS, MPLS-VPN, QoS, Traffic Engineering, and IP Transport.
- Advanced knowledge of network monitoring, performance analysis, and troubleshooting.
- Strong experience with transport technologies, especially DWDM/WDM, Microwave TX, and MSTP.
- Knowledge of fiber optic infrastructure and transmission media.
- English level B2 or higher.
Nice to Have
- Experience with SDH, PDH, ATM, and DSL technologies.
- Knowledge of EIGRP.
- Experience with Nokia/Alcatel-Lucent technologies and platforms.
- Previous experience working in large-scale multi-vendor network environments.
