Amex GBT in Spain is seeking a Travel Counselor to join our highly skilled remote team delivering outstanding service to corporate clients.

You will advise and arrange travel, analyze options, and book domestic and international trips across air, rail, and hotels using Amadeus GDS. A German language proficiency is required, English plus other EU languages are a plus, and we emphasize a collaborative, customer-centric culture.

Formación

• Native GDS experience (Amadeus) with at least 2 years.
• German language proficiency (written and spoken) is required.
• English plus any additional European language is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to service excellence.
• Teamwork and openness to feedback.

Responsabilidades

• Advise and arrange travel for corporate business customers.
• Analyze travel options and anticipate traveler needs to upsell services.
• Book domestic and international travel across air, rail, and hotels.
• Use Amadeus GDS; refresher training may be provided.
• Ensure compliance with travel policy, provider policies, and regulations.
• Provide friendly service and handle special customer requests.
• Collaborate to coach and mentor teammates to improve service levels.

Please kindly note this role is to work for our After Hours team in a shared customer environment

What You’ll Do on a Typical Day

• Advise and arrange travel for corporate business customers (both individuals and groups)
• Conduct analysis and research on travel options, and pro-actively anticipate traveler needs to sell additional services
• Arrange and book domestic and international business travel, in a variety of complexity, for air, road, rail, and accommodations
• Use of Amadeus Global Distribution System - Refreshment training may be provided
• Ensure compliance to customers' agreed travel policy, service provider policies, and regulatory requirements
• Use positive telephone service techniques and act on special customer requests
• Collaborate within your team to coach, mentor, and provide constructive feedback to improve service levels

What We’re Looking For

• Passion for excellence in client service, including proactive anticipation of needs
• Native GDS expertise (Amadeus) >> two years minimum experience
• Native or full working proficiency in German (written and verbal) is a must. ENGLISH and any additional European language could be considered a plus
• Attention to detail
• Act with integrity, and look after personal traveler information
• Possess a strong understanding of the travel industry (background in business travel, leisure travel, or airline reservation)
• Resolving customer issues quickly and independently / with supplier
• Teamwork and openness to feedback

Our Traveler Care team is a 24/7 operation. We have additional shift allowances for Overnight Shift Schedule
