Job summary

Santander is seeking a Transaction Admission Analyst for the ACPM area based in the Boadilla del Monte office, Spain. You will gain exposure to Santander CIB’s transaction pipeline and work with product, risk, and finance teams to assess structures, profitability, and capital implications.

Responsibilities include analysing profitability, capital impacts, and pricing thresholds, while supporting capital management initiatives and ensuring deals meet return requirements.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of professional experience in consulting, audit, banking, lending, or reporting-related functions.
• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics or related field.
• Master's degree in Finance and/or Data Science is preferred.
• Professional proficiency in English and Spanish, spoken and written.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess transaction profitability and returns to align with strategy and risk-return objectives.
• Analyse accounting, regulatory capital and economic capital implications of proposed transactions.
• Participate in transaction admission processes and define pricing thresholds.
• Ensure transactions meet minimum return requirements and coordinate related relationships.
• Contribute to capital management initiatives and capital rotation improvements.
• Perform financial and portfolio analysis to monitor performance and trends.
• Coordinate inputs with product, risk, finance and other teams throughout review.
• Support delivery of team projects and ensure deadlines are followed.
• Extract, analyse and validate information from databases and internal tools.
