Airbus Defence and Space SAU in Getafe (Madrid) seeks a Training Devices Project Manager to lead the definition, purchase, development and delivery of LTA and MRTT simulators for customers. You will drive data/software package preparation, coordinate with stakeholders and manage contractual obligations and KPIs.

You will prepare technical offers, estimate costs, and ensure on-time, on-cost, and on-quality delivery within an international setting.

Formación

• University degree in Engineering, Aeronautics or equivalent.
• Experience in aeronautical industry preferred.
• Knowledge of training aids design and development.
• Experience in Project Management.
• English negotiation in international environment.

Responsabilidades

• Define, develop and deliver LTA and MRTT simulators to customers.
• Communicate with Customer, Internal Organizations and Suppliers on contractual obligations.
• Prepare Data Package and Software Package; define and purchase parts and spares.
• Participate in configuration and service bulletins committees; analyze project impacts.
• Ensure delivery of final product to customers with risk/opportunity control.
• Prepare technical offers and provide associated costs to Programme representatives.
• Monitor activities to meet performance indicators and customer requirements.
• Facilitate liaison between Airbus areas, suppliers and end-customer.
• Act as point of contact for technical topics; operate in an international framework.
• Produce outputs: requirements documents, cost calculations, plans, schedules, risk mitigation plans, KPIs, and offers support.

An opportunity for an Training Devices Project Manager has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space, Getafe (Madrid). The selected candidate will join the Transport & Mission Training Aids Team, which is responsible to lead the execution on time, on cost, on quality of all the tasks related to the definition, purchase, development, validation, acceptance, qualification and delivery to the customer of LTA and MRTT simulators.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• The jobholder will be responsible for the definition, development and delivery of LTA and MRTT simulators to our customers.
• The jobholder will also support communications with the Customer, Internal Organizations and Suppliers, including discussions related to the definition of the contractual obligations to be delivered to the Customer as well as the definition of the contractual documents with suppliers.
• These activities also include the preparation of the Data Package (DP) and Software Package (SWP) and the definition and purchase of Parts & Equipment (P&E) and Spares.
• This involves the use of Airbus configuration and documentation tools and the participation in the Configuration, Modifications and Service Bulletins Committees to analyze impacts on the on-going projects and if so, launch the appropriate activities.
• The jobholder ensures the provision of deliverables from all the Stakeholders OTOCOQ.
• The jobholder has full responsibility for the delivery of the final product to the Customers ensuring the proper identification and control of Risks and Opportunities and guarantees accurate reporting of key performance indicators.
• In addition: The jobholder prepares technical offers and provides the associated cost to Programmes Representatives.
• Monitors and drumbeats the activities to ensure that the project is being carried out within the expected performance indicators and customer’s requirements.
• The jobholder also facilitates the liaison between all the Airbus areas involved in the project, suppliers and end-customer.
• The jobholder acts as point of contact with the end-customer and suppliers for tecnical topics related with the project execution.
• The activities associated with the position take place within an international framework.
• Outputs: Technical/Logistic/Management requirements documents, cost calculations & control, plans/directives, schedules, statement of work documents, risk mitigation plans, project status reports KPIs definition, and support to offers to Customers.
• In addition, Project Manager is the Authority to sign the Technical documents approval, Minutes of Meetings with internal Stakeholders, Suppliers and Customer and Acceptance documents for the product.

SKILLS

• Educational Qualifications: University degree in Engineering, Aeronautics or equivalent.
• Experience: >5 years' experience in aeronautical company.
• Technical knowledge: Training Aids design and development experience.
• Experience in Project Management.
• English: Negotiation level with experience in international environment.
• Knowledge of Air Power programs, specially MRTT and LTA products.
• Multitasking, proactive, positive attitude, capacity to work in a team, unsupervised and with autonomy and capacity to adapt and learn quickly.
