Airbus Defence & Space SAU in Getafe seeks a Communication Systems Product Manager to coordinate overall communications system engineering activities across multiple programs. You will lead L1/L2 design, documentation, and verification efforts, while interfacing with customers and participating in architecture reviews.

The role requires 5+ years in related engineering fields, knowledge of airworthiness processes, and familiarity with cyber security implications for airborne platforms.

Formación

• Educated to degree level in Engineering; PhD/Telecommunications preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in system engineering or communications/avionics.
• Experience with architecture on MRTT, C295/CN235/C212, or A400M/UAS platforms.
• Familiar with airworthiness/certification processes (EASA/INTA).
• Familiar with communications disciplines: voice radio, IP/digital, tactical datalinks.
• Awareness of cyber security implications for airborne platforms.

Job Description: A vacancy for Communication Systems Product Manager has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Getafe. The successful applicant will join the Communications Architectures department.

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES AND TASKS

• Overall Comms System Engineering Activities Coordination (Time, Cost and Quality)
• Overall Comms L1 System Design and Documentation
• Supporting L1 Integration and Verification, Certification, Security Accreditation & Qualification
• Additionally, as member of a multi-programme team, contribute to other Transport A/C programmes architecture activities as backup and support.
• MANAGE: Support L1 and L2 technical baselines and technical reviews
• Support Progress Reviews and Customer discussions
• Participate in Configuration Management activities
• Coordinate Comms L2/Systems contributions and design reviews
• Interface with customer in Comms and MIDS Working Groups.
• DESIGN and SUPPORT Comms systems L1 Overall Design (FRDs, L1 Requirements, interfaces)
• Validate Comms L2 documentation (SRDs, SDNs, EIRDs, SIDs) coming from Comms Teams.
• Lead L1 Verification Requirements and Coverage Matrix
• Support L1 Certification and Qualification Plans and Evidences
• Coordinate System Reviews for Comms systems.
• Coordinate and Configuration Control of associated systems

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Educated to degree level in Engineering , valuable PhD/Telecommunications Engineering Degree.
• Experience in Engineering - Experience of >5 years in system engineering or Communications/Avionics related jobs.
• A/C and comms Architecture knowledge of at least one of the following platforms: Transport A/C - MRTT, C295/CN235/C212, A400M UAS – Atlante, Neuron or any other - Be familiar with System Engineering processes (DPs / ABDs etc) applicable to at least one of the following platforms MRTT, C295/CN235/C212 A400M - Be familiar with airworthiness and certification processes, EASA or INTA-based.
• Be familiar with Comms systems, at least one of the following disciplines. Voice based Radio Communications (Radios, SATCOM, Intercom systems) IP/Digital based communications (Datalinks, ROVER, SATCOM, LTE, etc) Tactical Datalinks (Link16, Link22 etc)
• Awareness on cyber security implications for airborne platforms will be highly considered.
• Be familiar with following tools and competencies: Project management and planning Reporting activities generation (DOORS, DMS) Model Based Systems Development as Simulink, Matlab, CAMEO Problem solving and decision making, Assertiveness English & Spanish :Fluent
