Sani/Ikos Group in Madrid seeks a cost management professional to oversee project budgets. The role includes monitoring budget performance, assisting with contractor negotiations, and preparing cost reports while ensuring compliance with internal policies.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field, with 5–10 years of relevant experience in hospitality or real estate development, and proficiency in English. Formación

• Fluent in English, with Greek and/or Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain project cost plans and budgets from feasibility through project completion, and track project costs for construction, FF&E/OS&E and soft costs, ensuring alignment with approved budgets.
• Monitor budget performance, identify variances, and provide timely reporting and recommendations.
• Assist in evaluation and negotiation of contractor and supplier proposals.
• Support value engineering initiatives to optimize costs without compromising quality or brand standards.
• Lead the change management process, ensuring all variations are properly assessed, approved, and documented.
• Prepare regular cost reports, including budget vs. actual, cash flow forecasts, and variance analysis, support project close-out activities including agreement of final accounts and resolution of outstanding commercial matters, ensure compliance with internal cost management policies, approval processes, and accounting standards, and coordinate with internal teams (Design, Construction, Procurement, Finance) to ensure cost alignment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5–10 years of experience in cost management, quantity surveying, or project controls, preferably in hospitality or real estate development.
• Excellent analytical, reporting, and forecasting skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects.
• A collaborative mindset to work effectively with diverse teams.
• Fluent English required; Greek and/or Spanish preferred.
