Job summary

BYD Europe is looking for a Field Service Engineer to install, commission, repair and maintain energy storage systems on site in Barcelona, Catalonia. You will address on-site technical issues promptly, provide customer training, and collaborate with support and R&D to feedback field issues.

The role requires hands-on HV/LV experience, strong communication skills, and willingness to travel frequently with flexible hours. A relevant engineering degree and HV certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in power industry or high/low voltage systems; energy storage experience preferred.
• Hands-on experience with installation, commissioning, and maintenance of energy storage systems.
• Solid understanding of electrical systems, especially energy storage.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills; able to work in high/low voltage environments.
• Excellent communication and customer service; able to work under pressure.
• Relevant electrical or HV operation certifications preferred.
• Willingness to travel frequently and adapt to flexible working hours.
