Job summary

ABB is seeking a Technical Marketing Manager to join its Distribution Solutions division in Madrid, Spain. You will act as the primary technical counterpart for selected customer accounts, leading pre-sales activities from specification reviews to customer approvals, and delivering technical presentations on the portfolio and applications.

You will coordinate with Business Development Managers, Product Management, and R&D, while travelling globally as needed.

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc level degree in Electrical engineering or similar.
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience with protection relays, protection applications, or substation automation.
• Experience with commissioning protection relays or substation automation systems is advantageous.
• Experience with PCM600, Omicron, or similar tools is advantageous.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams.
• Fluent written and spoken English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical counterpart for assigned accounts and strategic sales opportunities.
• Lead technical pre-sales activities from specification review and solution definition through customer presentations, training and approval processes.
• Deliver technical presentations on the product portfolio and applications for prospective and existing customers.
• Lead and conduct factory acceptance tests (FATs) for assigned customer accounts.
• Provide technical training to local sales teams and customers to promote the products and improve technical competence.
