Job summary

Gomining is seeking a strong Tech Lead to guide a small engineering team in Spain. You will drive technical direction, own architecture decisions, and stay hands-on with Go-based backend development, solving complex engineering challenges in production.

You will lead a three‑engineer and two QA team, leveraging AI tools to boost quality, velocity, and productivity while collaborating with Product and QA teams across hybrid work arrangements.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong Go (Golang) background.
• Experience designing scalable architectures and distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of microservices and asynchronous messaging patterns.
• PostgreSQL, Redis, and REST APIs expertise.
• Experience with message brokers such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, or similar.
• Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience leading engineers and driving technical and architectural decisions.
• Hands-on approach with production development.
• Experience using AI development tools in daily work.

We are looking for a strong Tech Lead with deep software engineering and backend expertise to lead a small engineering team and take ownership of technical decisions, architecture, and engineering quality.

This is a hands‑on role — you will drive the technical direction of the team while staying deeply involved in production development, architecture, and solving complex engineering challenges.

You will lead a small cross‑functional team consisting of 3 Software Engineers and 2 QA Engineers.

Our core backend stack is Go, so we are looking for someone with strong commercial Golang experience and a solid background in building scalable, distributed systems.

We also expect you to actively leverage AI tools to improve engineering quality, productivity, and development velocity.

• 7+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong commercial experience with Go (Golang).
• Strong backend and software engineering background.
• Experience designing scalable architectures and distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and asynchronous communication patterns.
• Solid experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, and REST APIs.
• Experience with message brokers such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, or similar.
• Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience leading engineers and driving technical and architectural decisions.
• Strong hands‑on approach — you are comfortable staying close to the code and contributing to production development.
• Strong understanding of engineering best practices, code quality, testing, and system reliability.
• Experience using AI development tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or similar in daily development.
