Job summary

Mercedes-Benz Group Services Madrid is seeking a Technical Lead / Software Architect to shape our Home of Data Marketplace platform. You will guide the team’s technical direction, design scalable architectures, and mentor engineers across front-end and backend stacks.

You will collaborate with Product Owners and cross-functional teams to deliver secure, maintainable software using TypeScript, ReactJS, Node.js, and PostgreSQL in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Strong experience as a Technical Lead, Software Architect, or Senior Full Stack Engineer.
• Advanced knowledge of TypeScript.
• Experience with ReactJS and Node.js/Express.js.
• Proficient in REST APIs and relational databases (PostgreSQL).
• Experience with Redis, automated testing, code reviews, and Agile teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and act as the team’s technical reference.

• Design end-to-end technical solutions and architecture.

What You'll Do

Technical Leadership

• Act as the technical reference for the team.
• Support developers in technical decision-making and problem-solving.
• Drive engineering best practices and technical excellence.
• Promote scalable, secure, and maintainable software development.
• Analyze upcoming features and business requirements.
• Design end-to-end technical solutions.
• Define architectural approaches and evaluate alternatives.
• Ensure alignment between business needs and technical implementation.

Development

• Contribute to the implementation of complex full-stack solutions.
• Support the evolution of the platform architecture.
• Design and optimize APIs, databases, and integrations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues.

Code Quality & Mentoring

• Perform code reviews and ensure compliance with standards.
• Identify and reduce technical debt.
• Promote automated testing and quality practices.
• Mentor and coach team members.
• Work closely with Product Owners, Architects, Developers, and cross-functional teams.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and technical discussions.
• Foster knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For

• Strong experience as a Technical Lead, Software Architect, or Senior Full Stack Engineer.
