TOPPAN Digital Language in Madrid seeks an experienced Translation Project Manager to own end-to-end project lifecycles, coordinating resources, timelines and budgets across diverse document types and sectors.

You will manage client relationships, contribute to business development, and mentor junior colleagues while thriving in a hybrid work environment and rapid growth.

Formación

• Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in translation or related field.
• Fluent English; a second language is preferred.
• 4+ years of project management experience.
• Experience with financial services clients is desirable.
• People management experience is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong IT skills and familiarity with CAT tools.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-changing business environment.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and manage the full lifecycle of translation projects across sectors and document types.
• Determine resource needs and cost structure based on objectives and operations.
• Proactively identify issues and close gaps.
• Support business development and client meetings; participate in recruitment processes.
• Own production processes, forecasting, and management of billing.
• Mentor/junior colleagues and support Team Lead in daily management.
• Lead performance reviews and development planning.

Working model

Hybrid (3 days in the office, 2 days at home)

• Independently lead and effectively manage the full lifecycle of translations projects ranging from different sectors and document types.
• Determine resource requirements and optimal cost structure based on objectives and operational needs.
• Proactively lead the identification of any potential issues and resolve and close identified gaps.
• Actively participate in and support business development efforts and client meetings and other parts of the business.
• Ownership and maintenance of corresponding production processes.
• Billing forecasting and management.
• Participate in mentoring or training of junior colleagues.
• Support Team Lead in daily management of team.
• Participate in recruitment processes, including conducting interviews and candidate selection decisions.
• Lead Performance Review management processes, including setting objectives and providing feedback on employee performance and development plans.
• University degree in relevant discipline (translation, languages) or equivalent experience.
• Fluent English and ideally one other language, both spoken and written, are preferred for this position.
• 4+ years of project management experience.
• Experience with financial services clients.
• People management experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing and growing business.
• Strong IT skills, advanced knowledge of CAT tools and understanding of MT.
• Strong communication skills including presentation/meeting facilitation.
