Job summary

Welocalize, Inc. seeks a native Tamil speaker for localization QA in Barcelona. You will review pre-release AI model outputs, test parity with English, and identify localization issues in real-world app scenarios.

You’ll work on-site in a private, secure area, follow a detailed test script, and document issues with steps and evidence. Prior testing or localization experience is a plus; bilingualism and strong attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Native-level Tamil, written and spoken with a current feel for how the language is used day-to-day.
• Confident with a smartphone and a laptop, comfortable moving between iOS and Android.
• Sharp eye for detail and objective judgment when assessing quality.
• Ability to work independently, follow a detailed test script and guideline, and explain issues in English.
• Previous experience in software or app testing, localization QA, or linguistic evaluation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review pre-release AI model output in Tamil for accuracy, naturalness, and overall quality.
• Test Tamil experience against English, ensuring feature parity and proper handling of non-Latin text.
• Spot display problems and localization errors, including untranslated strings.
• Write up each issue with steps, device, locale, and supporting evidence; re-test after fixes.
• Provide native Tamil perspective on navigation and usability.
• Work on-site in Welocalize offices; remote work is not possible.
• Support other linguistic projects as needed.
• Demonstrate native-level Tamil proficiency, both written and spoken.
• Be comfortable using both iOS and Android devices.
• Maintain a sharp eye for detail and fair, objective quality judgments.
• Explain issues clearly in English and follow detailed test scripts.
• Previous experience in software/app testing or localization QA is a strong plus.
