Job summary

Airbus Defence and Space in Getafe seeks a System of Systems Concepts Design Engineer to join the Future Concepts team. You will contribute to the conceptual design of new air power solutions and the integration of legacy systems within a System of Systems context.

The role emphasizes architectural design, MBSE, and development of interoperable, reusable frameworks across multi-domain defence systems. Fluency in English and Spanish and eligibility for Spanish security clearance are required.

Qualifications

Master's degree or PhD in Systems Engineering or closely related field.
Minimum 5 years of systems engineering/architecture experience; SoS exposure preferred.
Knowledge of architectural frameworks (UAF/DoDAF/MODAF) and modeling languages (SysML/UML).
Hands-on Cameo experience and MBSE practices.
Fluent in English and Spanish; ability to obtain Spanish security clearance.

Responsibilities

Architectural design and conceptualization of SoS architectures across domains.
Modeling and MBSE to refine architectural frameworks and methodologies.
Contribute to SoS roadmaps and technology strategies.
Design reusable, scalable frameworks to maximize portfolio value.
Define interfaces and integration strategies for heterogeneous systems.
Identify and mitigate architectural risks related to performance, security and resilience.
