Airbus Defence and Space in Getafe, Madrid, Spain seeks a System Engineer (Military Derivatives) to lead system concepts, requirements and testing across the lifecycle. You will collaborate with customers and cross-functional teams to deliver mission-critical capabilities for aircraft mission systems, ensuring compliance and smooth in-service support.

Ideal candidates have a technical degree, 5+ years in system or software development, and experience with DOORS, Jira/Confluence/Bamboo, plus

• University degree in a technical domain (e.g., aeronautics, computer science, telecommunications engineering).
• 5+ years in system or software development with familiarity in methods/tools (e.g., DOORS).
• Experience with Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence, Bamboo) and DOORS preferred.
• English and Spanish: advanced proficiency.

Responsabilidades

• Define and manage system concepts and designs across the development lifecycle.
• Lead requirements engineering and ensure system/ product requirements reflect customer needs.
• Define and execute system tests and qualification activities.
• Assess scope, quality, feasibility, reusability, safety, performance and interfaces.
• Participate in customer meetings and workshops to capture needs and ensure compliance.
• Provide in-service support and handle technical queries and system updates on deployed assets.

In this role you will spearhead system engineering across lifecycle activities for mission support and planning systems used on military aircraft. You will work within the Engineering Department TADMO6 to ensure feasible, reusable, safe and compliant solutions while aligning with customer requirements and regulatory rules. You will contribute to testing, integration, and in-service support, collaborating with customers and cross-functional teams to deliver mission-critical capabilities. This is an opportunity to shape how aircraft mission systems operate and evolve in real-world environments.
