Airbus Defence And Space in Getafe, Madrid, is seeking a Hydraulics and Actuation Systems Engineer for Military Derivatives to reinforce the team in defining, designing and integrating complex actuation and hydraulic systems for defence programs.

You will coordinate system architectures, manage interfaces with flight physics and safety teams, and drive supplier activity and V&V strategies, with advanced English and Spanish language skills essential.

Formación

• 5 to 10 years of professional experience in aircraft systems engineering, program management, or team coordination.
• Aeronautical or Industrial Engineering degree.
• Advanced English and Spanish (written and spoken).
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, mechanical systems, aircraft certification processes, and V&V testing methods.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate work packages, program planning and development plans for Military Derivatives actuation and hydraulic systems.
• Define system architectures for LWB actuation, ATA29 hydraulics, and EO/IR lift systems.
• Manage technical interfaces with flight physics, airframe, control/monitoring, and safety/certification teams.
• Specify actuation equipment, lead supplier selection and coordinate supplier activities.
• Define system and installation requirements (including rigging) and system-level V&V strategies.
• Execute system simulations and support test definition across laboratories, ground tests and flight tests.

In this role you will reinforce the Hydraulics and Actuation Team to define, design and integrate complex actuation and hydraulic systems for Military Derivatives programs. You will work on system architectures for LWB actuation and EO/IR lift systems, coordinating internal and external work packages and ensuring certification readiness. You’ll interface with flight physics, airframe, and safety teams, driving supplier activity and V&V strategies. This is an impact-driven position at Airbus, shaping high-integrity hydraulic systems in a defence context.
