Lace Lithography in Barcelona or Bergen is seeking an experienced System Engineer to lead the design of its first industrialized lithography tool. You will define subsystems, interfaces and drive cross‑functional collaboration with physicists and developers.

Based in Barcelona or Bergen with regular travel between locations, you will own system requirements, risk assessment, documentation and project execution, shaping Lace’s cutting‑edge technology and manufacturing roadmap.

Formación

• Experience in semiconductor equipment design and manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of optics and metrology.

• Strong planning, risk assessment and stakeholder management.

Lace Lithography is seeking a highly experienced System Engineer to join our System Design team. In this high-impact role, you will architect and design our lithography systems.

Working alongside physicists and developers, you will be working as a lead designer of Lace’s first industrialized tool.

This role is based in Barcelona (Spain) or Bergen (Norway), and will involve regular travel between our key locations throughout the year.

What You’ll Do

• Define requirements of the tool’s subsystems and modules
• Define the system interfaces and integration strategy
• Assure the system meets engineering and compliance standards (SEMI S2)
• Act as a bridge between departments
• Lead discussions with external/outsourced partners
• Develop and maintain comprehensive system documentation
• Lead technical projects for system development (incl. project scope, timelines, technical risks, progress reports, cross-functional execution etc.)

What We Require From You

• Semiconductor Equipment design and manufacturing (at least 2 years of proven experience)
• Strong knowledge in optics and metrology
• Requirements engineering
• System architecture and integration: interface control and modular design
• Planning, risk assessment and stakeholder management
• BOM management
• FMEA & Troubleshooting
• Capable to think outside his/her own domain
• Background in physics, mathematics, mechanical engineering or similar
