A pioneering chip lithography company in Barcelona is seeking an expert physicist to develop and validate theoretical models of laser cooling. The candidate will work on complex physics problems, collaborate across teams, and mentor junior members. Requirements include a PhD and significant experience in laser manipulation and atom beams. Formación

• PhD or equivalent level of experience.

What you’ll do:

• Develop theoretical models of laser cooling and manipulation of beams of metastable atoms.
• Work on general physics problems related to the production of cold intense beams of neutral atoms.
• Develop numerical models to validate theoretical models with an emphasis on realistic engineering constraints.
• Produce simulation tools to be used by other teams.
• Collaborate across teams on theoretical, simulation, and experimental projects.
• Produce and maintain high quality documentation and code, as well as review documentation and code written by colleagues.
• Mentor junior members of the team

With your expertise in the art of research you are highly capable of working on problems that may be ill defined or involve subjects that are outside your area of specialization.
