Amentum seeks a Synchrolift Support Hand to support a unique US Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role involves dry docking and undocking operations, line handling, and operating docking equipment to ensure safe vessel movements.

The position requires a high school diploma, diver qualifications, English fluency, and the ability to travel internationally. Applicants should be prepared for remote overseas deployment and meet medical and security requirements.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience handling lines, operating capstans, and driving transfer tractors.
• Qualified diver/swimmer capable of underwater tasks.
• Knowledge of diving safety procedures and ability to prepare Dive Plans and Safety Briefs.
• Must have a valid passport and be able to travel internationally.
• Passport valid for at least 1 year at hire.
• Ability to obtain visas per the U.S. State Dept. Foreign Clearance Guide.
• Must read, speak, and comprehend English to perform contract requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with dry docking and undocking evolutions using the Synchrolift system.
• Handle lines and operate transfer tractors and other docking equipment.
• Support vessel alignment, positioning, and securing during docking/undocking.
• Participate in docking evolutions with safety and operational requirements.
• Perform underwater tasks as a qualified diver/swimmer when required.
• Prepare and submit Dive Plans and Safety Briefs when diving activities are part of docking/undocking operations.
• Inspect, maintain, and repair docking equipment and tools.
• Coordinate with supervisors and team members to ensure tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
• Follow established safety procedures and operational protocols.
• Support the Synchrolift team in maintaining operational readiness.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
