Amentum is seeking a Synchrolift Mechanic / Rigger / Diver to support a US Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role covers underwater inspections, maintenance, repair, and recovery operations on vessels and marine structures.

Responsibilities include planning diving operations, operating hyperbaric chambers, maintaining diving gear, and complying with safety standards. Requires US diving certification and ability to obtain security clearances; work is on-site at BIOT.

Formación

• Graduate of a US certified commercial diving school.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of commercial diving experience preferred.
• Ability to pass and maintain a diving physical per OSHA Commercial Diving Regulations.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a motor vehicle.
• Valid country driver’s license and passport.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required credentials and clearances.
• Must be able to speak, read, and comprehend English.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct underwater inspections, surveys, recovery operations, and maintenance on vessels and underwater assets.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute diving operations per safety procedures.
• Perform underwater repair, installation, salvage, and recovery tasks.
• Operate hyperbaric chambers in diving operations and emergency response.
• Serve as a tender during hyperbaric treatments and diving operations.
• Maintain diving equipment, compressors, air systems, and related gear.
• Inspect and repair diving systems, breathing apparatus, and communications equipment.
• Perform work inside underwater vessels and confined spaces.
• Operate support vessels and small boats as trained.
