Amentum seeks an Elevator Mechanic to support a US Navy program on Diego Garcia. You will install, maintain, and repair elevators and related equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.

Responsibilities cover safety, EMS/QA adherence, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and compliance with requested standards. Candidates must travel internationally and hold a Journeyman certificate or equivalent.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Journeyman’s Certificate or equivalent field experience is required.
• Experience with engineering drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Knowledge of European and/or US electrical codes.
• Experience maintaining elevators overseas.
• Ability to travel internationally and meet deployment requirements.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to work in diverse teams.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain a safe workplace and prioritize safety.
• Comply with EH&S and QA requirements; provide documentation.
• Locate and diagnose trouble in brakes, motors, switches, and control systems.
• Disassemble defective units and repair or replace parts.
• Lubricate bearings and other moving parts.
• Install/repair transformers, switchboards, controllers, or other equipment per blueprints.
• Perform preventative maintenance and contribute to task upgrades.
• Conduct tests with voltmeters, ammeters, and other test equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
