N26 is seeking a business lead for its Core Banking segment in Barcelona. You will co-drive segment strategy with product, ensuring delivery of high-impact initiatives across cross-functional teams.

The role relies on SQL-driven analyses, compelling business cases, and ELT presentations, requiring strong stakeholder management and deep fintech/banking domain knowledge.

Formación

• Minimum of 5 years in fintech, banking, consulting, or startup environments.
• Proven experience making data-driven recommendations to drive strategic outcomes.
• Strong problem-solving ability to structure analyses and draw insights.

• Conduct exploratory analyses to optimize P&L, including SQL deep dives.
• Identify opportunities for optimization and innovation.
• Lead KPI reviews with cross-functional teams to monitor progress.
• Be a central stakeholder for Product, Tech, Data, Compliance, Finance, Operations, and Marketing.

About the opportunity

We are looking for a business lead for our Core Banking segment. You will play a pivotal role in co-driving the segment strategy along with your product counterpart and ensuring the successful delivery of high impact initiatives with cross functional teams.

• Do you have hands‑on experience leading Core Banking projects and products?
• Do you thrive on complex data analysis with SQL defining key performance indicators (KPIs), and developing compelling business cases to justify strategy investments?
• Do you enjoy complex project management, driving cross‑functional alignment, and mastering stakeholder management across Product, Tech, Operations, and Executive team?

In this role, you will:

• Co‑drive the creation and refinement of the segment strategies, enabling decision and trade‑off decision making.
• Create and present business cases to assess both initiatives and experiments impact in front of the ELT.
• Conduct exploratory analyses to optimize P&L - Including SQL deep dives and budget building
• Proactively identify opportunities for optimization and innovation.
• Lead KPI reviews with cross‑functional teams to monitor progress against goals.
• Become a central stakeholder for other departments, including Product & Tech, Data, Compliance, Legal, Finance, Operations, and Marketing.
• Lead the business segment of Core Banking.

What you need to be successful:

Background:

• Minimum of 5 years in fintech, banking, consulting, or startup environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Management, Mathematics, or related field from a top‑tier institution.
• Proven experience in making data‑driven recommendations and driving strategic outcomes through cross‑functional collaboration.
• Strong problem‑solving ability to structure and define analyses to draw innovative conclusions.

Skills:

• Proficiency in SQL, with the ability to independently source data and derive insights.
• Effective visualization and storytelling skills for presenting insights.
• Interest and curiosity for the banking/fintech industry.
• Fluent in English.
