European Investment Bank (EIB) seeks a Head of Group Financial Risk Department to set the strategic direction for financial risk policies and governance across the Group Risk & Compliance Directorate. The role manages market, liquidity, and counterparty risk, reporting to the Group CRO and collaborating with multiple directorates.

The position is based at the Luxembourg headquarters with regular office presence; relocation support is offered as part of the package.

Formación

• University degree in Finance, Economics, or quantitative field; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in banking or international organisations.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of French/other EU languages is an advantage.

Responsabilidades

• Provide strategic leadership to the Financial Risk Department and align with Bank’s objectives.
• Oversee Asset‑Liability Management, Market Risk, Liquidity and Financial Risks, and related areas.
• Ensure robust risk governance, data integrity, and reporting to senior management and boards.
• Drive risk policy development, governance, and the department’s budget and procurement strategy.
• Coordinate with internal/external auditors and EU institutions on risk-related matters.
