Job summary

Drees & Sommer is seeking a license management professional to ensure compliance, optimize usage, and support strategic negotiations across multiple software vendors. You will help shape licensing strategies and drive process improvements in a collaborative team.

The role requires experience with software licensing models and SAM tools, plus strong analytical skills and excellent English. German language skills are a plus, and flexible work arrangements are available.

Qualifications

• Degree in IT management, business informatics, or equivalent.
• Solid experience in license management.
• Deep knowledge of licensing models (Microsoft, SAP, Oracle).
• Hands-on experience with licensing agreements and SAM tools.
• Strong analytical mindset and structured work approach.
• Fluent English; German is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain license compliance and optimize license cost efficiency.
• Manage license portfolio across vendors and monitor usage.
• Participate in contract negotiations and renewals with strategic insight.
• Develop and optimize license management processes.
• Support software audits and coordinate with internal and external partners.
• Prepare analyses, reports and risk assessments of license usage and costs.
