Job summary

AIG Europe S.A. (Spain branch) is seeking a strategic HR Business Partner to act as trusted advisor to regional leadership for Iberia (Spain and Portugal), based in Madrid.

You will translate global strategy into pragmatic people solutions, lead cyclical HR processes, coach senior leaders, and drive high-performance culture in a matrixed environment. You’ll partner with the Head of HR Iberia to shape a regional people agenda, coordinate EMEA programmes, and align local practice with global

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an HR Business Partner in a multinational environment, ideally insurance/financial services.
• Strong ability to use data/metrics to guide leaders and inform decisions.
• Exposure to Employee Relations and case management; knowledge of employment law in Spain and Portugal.
• Strong business acumen with a track record of impact through people initiatives.
• Ability to balance competing priorities and drive strategic cross-organizational initiatives.
• Excellent project management, organization, prioritization and multitasking skills.
• Fluent written and spoken English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver cyclical HR processes (performance, talent, succession) in a matrixed environment.
• Coach senior leaders to build capability, leadership effectiveness and high-performance culture.
• Influence leadership thinking using data, insights and commercial judgement.
• Localise and globalise the strategic people plan aligning with regional business needs.
• Lead and coordinate EMEA regional programs with governance and stakeholder alignment.
• Act as a connector across global, regional and local stakeholders for alignment and execution.
• Build strong relationships with regional and cluster stakeholders, managing expectations.
