Dow Jones is seeking a Staff Software Engineer in Barcelona to modernize real-time news and content systems feeding Newswires, Factiva, and The Wall Street Journal. You will work with GenAI, AWS, and a suite of tooling to deliver scalable backend services.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of backend experience, strong Java/Linux background, and a track record building high-performance systems in a global, cross-cultural team.

Formación

• 7+ years of industry experience.
• Experience delivering microservices in a service mesh environment.
• Experience designing and deploying RESTful APIs.
• Proficient in multi-region CI/CD and high availability architectures.
• Secure coding practices and vulnerability remediation.

Responsabilidades

• Engage in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle to design, develop, test and deploy high quality solutions using Agile/Scrum.
• Build and maintain microservices in a service mesh with Kubernetes-based tooling.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to manage scope, milestones, and timelines on technical projects.
• Provide guidance and training to management and other stakeholders.
