Job summary

Yuno is seeking a Staff Engineer to lead technical strategy and architecture for global payment systems. You will mentor engineers, shape architecture, and tackle the hardest challenges while building scalable, maintainable solutions in an AI-native environment.

This hands-on leadership role emphasizes design, code, and mentoring; you will influence the platform direction and ensure robust delivery across teams, including performance optimization and quality control.

Qualifications

• Extensive software engineering experience with Go and/or Kotlin and full-stack proficiency.
• Strong track record designing robust, scalable systems with solid architecture principles.
• Proven ability to solve complex technical problems and deliver innovative solutions.
• Experience with AWS and cloud-native services (RDS, ECS, EKS, S3).
• Excellent automated testing practices — unit, integration, end-to-end — in Agile/DevSecOps/CI/CD.
• Proven technical leadership — mentoring engineers and driving strategy and delivery.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; quick issue resolution.
• Advanced English both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers; raise the bar for excellence.
• Architect and design robust, scalable, maintainable systems across the platform.
• Drive the delivery of complex, cross-team projects meeting business goals and timelines.
• Contribute to technical vision and roadmap aligned with company goals.
• Collaborate with product, design and stakeholders; translate concepts for diverse audiences.
• Ensure quality and performance through efficient algorithms, clean code, and thorough testing.
