Job summary

Yuno is seeking a Staff Engineer to lead Money, Risk & Payment Ancillaries, overseeing risk decisioning, fraud prevention, money operations, and chargebacks. You will architect resilient bank-grade systems, champion YBIYRI culture, and guide teams across domains with a focus on auditability and speed.

The role requires deep expertise in Go/Kotlin, distributed systems, cloud-native design on AWS, and strong leadership in multi-team delivery within a zero-tolerance-for-failure environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive software engineering experience with Go/Kotlin backend stacks.
• Proven track record architecting robust, scalable distributed systems with event-driven design.
• Experience building financial or risk-critical systems with auditability.

Responsibilities

• Cross-domain architecture and technical leadership across risk, fraud, scams, money operations, reconciliations, and chargebacks.
• Design low-latency risk/fraud scoring that operates at or near the time of authorization.
• Build money operations and reconciliation systems with idempotency and auditable ledgers.
• Design platforms behind scam prevention and dispute lifecycle aligned with card-network rules.
