Hubbell Incorporated, including Hubbell RACO in South Bend, IN, is seeking a Senior Production Supervisor for 1st shift. You will oversee your production area, schedule vacations for supervisors, and serve as a back-up for the Plant Manager during absences.

You will drive production goals, ensure safety, quality, and cost targets, and collaborate with engineering, material control, and HR to optimize operations. A Lean background and strong leadership are essential.

Formación

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • 6-10 years of relevant experience is required.
  • 6+ years of leadership experience preferred.
  • Lean Manufacturing experience is required.
  • Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing concepts is expected.
  • Proficiency in related systems and software is required.

Responsabilidades

  • Ensure production meets goals for quality, cost, safety, and customer satisfaction.
  • Plan work assignments to maximize manpower, materials, equipment, and facilities utilization.
  • Collaborate with Engineering on methods, layouts, processes and equipment to improve efficiency.
  • Coordinate with Material Control on production schedules and parts.
  • Work with Quality Control to interpret and maintain quality standards.
  • Communicate changes or conditions affecting production to management.
  • Coordinate with Human Resources on labor relations and staffing.

Job Overview

As a 1st shift Monday-Friday Senior Production Supervisor at Hubbell RACO South Bend, IN you will be reponsible for your own area of production lines as well as scheduling vacation for supervisors and being able to fill in during vacations and absences. Have good communication and people skills and have the ability to fill in for the the Plant Manager during vacations

  • Ensuringthat production meets the goals of product quality, cost effectiveness, safe conditions, and customer satisfaction.
  • Planning work assignments to achieve maximum utilization of manpower, materials, equipment, and facilities.
  • Working with Engineering personnel concerning new or revised methods, layouts, processes, and equipment to increase operating efficiency, reducecostsor improve quality.
  • Working with Material Control personnel concerning production schedules, parts, etc. Providing feedback on status of schedule and needs for change.
  • Working with Quality Control personnel concerning the maintenance and interpretation of quality standards.
  • Communicating to management any changes or conditions which may affect production.
  • Working with Human Resources concerning employee or labor relations matters.
  • Assuring compliance with plant rules, policies, safety standards and good housekeeping.
What will help you thrive in this role?
  • High School Diploma or GED. Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degreepreferred.

  • Relevantcertification(s)preferred.
  • Prior production leadership experience in a Lean Manufacturing environment(required)
