Jobgether, on behalf of a partner company, seeks a Senior Automation Tester in Spain to ensure quality, security, and reliability of updates to IRS code modernization.

You will design test plans, create automated tests with Selenium or Cypress, perform backend API validation, and collaborate across developers and stakeholders within a CI/CD framework.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.
• Active IRS MBI clearance is required.
• Experience writing, maintaining, and executing test scripts.
• Hands-on with Selenium or Cypress for automation.
• Knowledge of APIs, databases, and SQL is a plus.

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr. Automation Tester with IRS GFE required based in Spain.

As a Senior Automation Tester, you will help ensure the quality, security, and reliability of software supporting an IRS code modernization initiative.
You will translate project requirements into comprehensive test plans, test cases, and automated testing workflows.
The role combines hands-on manual and automated testing with defect management, regression testing, and acceptance testing.
You will work closely with developers and cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle and CI/CD process.
Your expertise will help identify issues early, improve testing efficiency, and maintain consistent software quality standards.
You will also contribute to backend validation involving APIs and databases while helping strengthen testing practices over time.

Accountabilities

• Analyze project requirements and translate them into clear, comprehensive test plans and test cases.


• Design, develop, execute, and maintain manual and automated test scripts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred; candidates without a degree should have additional relevant professional experience.


• Active IRS MBI clearance is required.


• Demonstrated experience writing, maintaining, and executing software test scripts.


• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and tools such as Selenium or Cypress.


• Familiarity with manual testing, automated testing, regression testing, and user acceptance testing.


• Experience with backend testing, APIs, databases, and SQL is a plus.


• Understanding of CI/CD practices and the software development lifecycle.


• Ability to translate technical and business requirements into effective testing strategies.


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with close attention to detail.


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.


• Strong time management, organization, and teamwork skills.


• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and collaboration tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
