Monolithic Power Systems, Inc. seeks a Senior Accountant for Europe based in Barcelona to support local office activities and European subsidiaries.

The role reports to the Europe Controller and involves maintaining books, statutory tax coordination, and accurate reporting. The ideal candidate holds a BS/BA in accounting, has at least five years in a similar role, and is fluent in Spanish and English (French/German a plus).

Formación

• BS/BA degree in accounting or related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
• Intermediate knowledge of Excel.
• Fluent in Spanish and English (C1); French/German (B2) a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Provide accounting and administration support for all European subsidiaries.
• Maintain bookkeeping including accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, cash accounts and expenses per NIIFs.
• Coordinate statutory tax and reporting requirements with local service providers.
• Research tax and regulatory issues as needed.
• Coordinate tax credits, grants and European funds reporting.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and provide timely and accurate reporting.
• Support audits and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
• Assist budget process and ad hoc projects.

Job Summary

Monolithic Power Systems (MPS) provides power circuits for systems found in cloud computing, telecom infrastructure, automotive, industrial and consumer applications. MPS is seeking an energetic, efficient, self‑motivated and resourceful team player to be a member of its accounting staff supporting our local office activities in Barcelona, Spain as well as accounting and administrative support for other European subsidiaries. The Sr. Accountant reports to the Europe Controller and will be based in Barcelona, Spain.

Essential Functions

• Provide accounting and administration support for all European Subsidiaries.
• Responsible for maintaining bookkeeping including accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed asset, cash accounts and expenses, etc according to corporate guidelines and NIIFs
• Prepare and/or work with local service providers to coordinate statutory tax and reporting requirements.
• Research tax and regulatory issues as needed.
• Prepare and/or work with local service providers to coordinate tax credit, grants and European funds applications and reporting.
• Reconciling general ledger accounts, preparing and/or reviewing journal vouchers, and providing management with timely and accurate reporting.
• Identifies and proposes accounting solutions for new or unusual business transactions, and helps to ensure that the day‑to‑day accounting and administration is consistent with corporate accounting policies, procedures and GAAP.
• Supports Audits and Sarbanes‑Oxley compliance.
• Supports budget process
• Support for ad hoc projects as assigned.
