Monolithic Power Systems, Inc. in Barcelona, Spain, seeks a Sr. Accountant Europe to support local office activities and European subsidiaries. The role reports to the Europe Controller and is based in Barcelona, handling detailed financial operations across our European footprint.

You will maintain accurate bookkeeping, coordinate statutory compliance, and assist with audits, budgets, and special projects. Fluency in Spanish and English is required, with IFRS knowledge valued.

Formación

• BS/BA in accounting or related field.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent analytical and organizational abilities.
• Proficient in Excel and financial systems.

Responsabilidades

• Provide accounting and administration support for European subsidiaries.
• Maintain bookkeeping including A/P, A/R, fixed assets, cash, and expenses per NIIFs.
• Coordinate statutory tax and reporting with local providers.
• Research tax and regulatory issues as needed.
• Coordinate tax credits, grants and European funds reporting.
• Reconcile GL accounts and prepare journal vouchers; deliver timely reporting.
• Support audits and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
• Contribute to budgeting processes and ad hoc projects.

Sr. Accountant - Europe

Job Summary

Monolithic Power Systems (MPS) provides power circuits for systems found in cloud computing, telecom infrastructure, automotive, industrial and consumer applications. MPS is seeking an energetic, efficient, self-motivated and resourceful team player to be a member of its accounting staff supporting our local office activities in Barcelona, Spain as well as accounting and administrative support for other European subsidiaries. The Sr. Accountant reports to the Europe Controller and will be based in Barcelona, Spain.

Essential Functions

• Provide accounting and administration support for all European Subsidiaries.
• Responsible for maintaining bookkeeping including accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed asset, cash accounts and expenses, etc according to corporate guidelines and NIIFs
• Prepare and/or work with local service providers to coordinate statutory tax and reporting requirements.
• Research tax and regulatory issues as needed.
• Prepare and/or work with local service providers to coordinate tax credit, grants and European funds applications and reporting.
• Reconciling general ledger accounts, preparing and/or reviewing journal vouchers, and providing management with timely and accurate reporting.
• Identifies and proposes accounting solutions for new or unusual business transactions, and helps to ensure that the day-to-day accounting and administration is consistent with corporate accounting policies, procedures and GAAP.
• Supports Audits and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
• Supports budget process
• Support for ad hoc projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree in accounting or related field.
• Min. 5 years' experience in similar role
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent analytical and organization skills.
• Intermediate knowledge of Excel.
• Fluent in Spanish and English (C1) (French/German (B2) is a +)
