Monolithic Power Systems, Inc. (MPS) is seeking an AP Accountant for Europe to join our European accounting team. The role reports to the Accounting Supervisor and is based in Barcelona, Spain or Germany (Ettenheim or Munich).

Responsibilities include supplier invoice processing, PO matching, payment issue resolution, VAT support, and close process participation. The ideal candidate holds a degree in accounting and has fluent Spanish and English with strong communication and analytical skills.

Formación

• BS/BA or technical degree in accounting, administration or related field.
• 5 years’ experience in Accounting/Admin.
• Intermediate knowledge of Excel.
• Fluent in Spanish and English (C1).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent analytical and organization skills.

Responsabilidades

• Register and account for invoices; reconcile purchase invoices with PO and approvals.
• Resolve payment issues and respond to vendor inquiries.
• Account reconciliation and involvement in closing processes.
• Prepare audit ad-hoc requests.
• Ensure foreign currency transactions are properly accounted.
• Support VAT reporting and other statutory requirements.
• Assist with other accounting processes as needed.
• Collaborate with other departments on vendor payment procedures.
• Support process optimization per corporate policies.
• Participate in automation and SOX compliance initiatives.
• Provide support for ad-hoc projects.

Job Description: AP Accountant - Europe

Reporting to: Accounting Supervisor

MPS provides power circuits for systems found in cloud computing, telecom infrastructure, automotive, industrial and consumer applications. MPS is seeking an energetic, efficient, self-motivated and resourceful team player to be a member of its accounting staff supporting our European subsidiaries. The AP Accountant reports to Accounting Supervisor and will be based in Barcelona, Spain or Germany (Ettenheim or Munich).

Responsibilities

• Registration and accounting of invoices, reconciliation of purchase invoices with purchase orders, verification of corresponding approvals and compliance with company policies and accounting rules.
• Resolve payment issues and answer payment questions from company vendors
• Account reconciliation and participation in closing processes.
• Preparing Audit ad-hoc requests.
• Ensure that foreign currency transactions and accounts are correctly accounted
• Supports VAT reporting and other statutories.
• Supports other accounting processes as needed.
• Work closely with other departments to guide on procedures related to vendor payments and company requirements.
• Support in optimizing processes according to corporate policies.
• Participates in automation and technology implementation and other process improvement initiatives.
• Supports Audits, SOX compliance
• Support for ad-hoc projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• BS/BA or technical degree in accounting, administration or related field
• Accounting/Admin. knowledge with 5 years’ experience
• Intermediate knowledge of Excel.
• Fluent in Spanish and English (C1) (other EU language is a +)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent analytical and organization skills.
