Monolithic Power Systems, Inc. (MPS) seeks a Sr. Accountant for Europe, based in Barcelona, to support local office activities and European subsidiaries. The role reports to the Europe Controller and emphasizes accurate financial reporting and compliance across the region.

The successful candidate will handle bookkeeping, tax coordination, audits, budgeting and ad hoc projects while ensuring alignment with NIIFs, GAAP and corporate policies.

Formación

• BS/BA degree in accounting or related field.
• 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
• Intermediate knowledge of Excel.
• Fluent in Spanish and English (C1). French/German (B2) is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Provide accounting and administration support for all European subsidiaries.
• Maintain bookkeeping including accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, cash accounts and expenses according to NIIFs.
• Coordinate statutory tax and reporting requirements with local service providers; research tax issues as needed.
• Coordinate tax credits, grants and European funds applications and reporting.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts, prepare and review journal vouchers, provide timely reporting to management.
• Suggest accounting solutions for new or unusual transactions consistent with GAAP and corporate policies.
• Support audits and Sarbanes‑Oxley compliance.
• Support budget processes.
• Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned.

Sr. Accountant - Europe

Reporting to: Europe Controller

Job Summary

Monolithic Power Systems (MPS) provides power circuits for systems found in cloud computing, telecom infrastructure, automotive, industrial and consumer applications. MPS is seeking an energetic, efficient, self‑motivated and resourceful team player to be a member of its accounting staff supporting our local office activities in Barcelona, Spain as well as accounting and administrative support for other European subsidiaries. The Sr. Accountant reports to the Europe Controller and will be based in Barcelona, Spain.

Essential Functions

• Provide accounting and administration support for all European Subsidiaries.
• Responsible for maintaining bookkeeping including accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed asset, cash accounts and expenses, etc. according to corporate guidelines and NIIFs.
• Prepare and/or work with local service providers to coordinate statutory tax and reporting requirements. Research tax and regulatory issues as needed.
• Prepare and/or work with local service providers to coordinate tax credit, grants and European funds applications and reporting.
• Reconciling general ledger accounts, preparing and/or reviewing journal vouchers, and providing management with timely and accurate reporting.
• Identify and propose accounting solutions for new or unusual business transactions, and help to ensure that the day‑to‑day accounting and administration is consistent with corporate accounting policies, procedures and GAAP.
• Support Audits and Sarbanes‑Oxley compliance.
• Support budget process.
• Support for ad hoc projects as assigned.

• Min. 5 years’ experience in similar role.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
