Job summary

Apex Group in Valencia is seeking a Specialist - Securities Transaction Services to support day-to-day Custody operations and ensure accurate processing of securities and derivatives transactions.

You will work with internal and external stakeholders, manage transaction processing, corporate actions, and income events, while contributing to risk management and process improvements. A university degree and excellent English are required, with strong Excel proficiency and a client-focused approach.

Qualifications

• University degree in Banking/Finance/Accounting or equivalent.
• Excellent English communication skills.

• Knowledge of the Custody business.
• Understanding of the banking industry.

Responsibilities

• Booking and validation of securities (DVP/FOP) and derivatives.
• Processing of corporate actions (mandatory and voluntary).
• Processing of dividends and interest payments; handle complex inquiries.
• Provide and set up control and client reports.
• Handle complex inquiries and project activities as project leader.
• Contribute to process changes and improvements; act as escalation point.

Role: Specialist - Securities Transaction Services

Reporting to : Head of financial solutions & Head of Custody Operations

Role Summary:
As a Specialist - Securities Transaction Services at Apex Group, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operational activities of the Custody function, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of securities and derivatives transactions. The role is responsible for maintaining high levels of client service, operational control, and risk management while contributing to process improvements and departmental initiatives.

Working closely with internal stakeholders and external counterparts, you will manage transaction processing, corporate actions, and income events, while acting as a subject matter expert for more complex queries and operational matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Booking and validation of securities (DVP/FOP) & validation of derivatives transactions
• Processing of mandatory and voluntary Corporate Actions
• Processing of dividends, interest payments and complex complaints
• Provide / setup control reports / client reports
• Take-over of complex inquiries, complex project activities/project leader
• Active participation in process changes and adaptations
• Point of escalation

Skills & Experience needed:

• University degree in Banking/ Finance /Accounting or similar.
• Excellent English spoken and written communication skills.
• Very good computer literacy and Excel knowledge.
• Understanding the banking industry.
• Good understanding of the Custody business.
• Customer Focus.
• Concern for Quality.
• Willingness and ability to work in a team and meet deadlines.
