Job summary

Apex Group in Valencia is seeking a Specialist - Securities Transaction Services to support day-to-day custody operations. You will ensure timely processing of securities and derivatives, maintain client service levels, and manage risk and controls.

The role requires a university degree in Banking/Finance, strong English communication, and solid Excel skills. A hybrid working model and opportunities for professional development are offered.

Qualifications

• University degree in Banking/ Finance /Accounting or related field.
• Excellent English spoken and written communication skills.
• Strong Excel knowledge and general computer literacy.
• Good understanding of the Custody and banking industries.

Responsibilities

• Booking and validation of securities (DVP/FOP) and validation of derivatives.
• Processing Corporate Actions (mandatory & voluntary).
• Processing of dividends, interest payments and complex complaints.
• Provide/setup control reports and client reports.
• Take-over of complex inquiries and lead project activities.
• Participate in process changes and act as escalation point.

Role Details

Role: Specialist - Securities Transaction Services Role Location: Valencia Department: Custody Reporting to: Head of financial solutions & Head of Custody Operations Employment Type: Permanent

As a Specialist - Securities Transaction Services at Apex Group, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operational activities of the Custody function, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of securities and derivatives transactions. The role is responsible for maintaining high levels of client service, operational control, and risk management while contributing to process improvements and departmental initiatives. Working closely with internal stakeholders and external counterparts, you will manage transaction processing, corporate actions, and income events, while acting as a subject matter expert for more complex queries and operational matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Booking and validation of securities (DVP/FOP) & validation of derivatives transactions
• Processing of mandatory and voluntary Corporate Actions
• Processing of dividends, interest payments and complex complaints
• Provide / setup control reports / client reports
• Take-over of complex inquiries, complex project activities/project leader
• Active participation in process changes and adaptations
• Point of escalation

Skills & Experience

• University degree in Banking/ Finance /Accounting or similar.
• Excellent English spoken and written communication skills.
• Very good computer literacy and Excel knowledge.
• Understanding the banking industry.
• Good understanding of the Custody business.
