Job summary

Apex Group is hiring a Depositary Support Officer in Valencia. This junior/entry-level role focuses on safeguarding and overseeing AIFs, with emphasis on accuracy, regulatory compliance, and cross-team collaboration.

You will participate in oversight and asset verification activities, contributing to high-quality client service while developing expertise in the alternative investment industry and depositary operations.

Qualifications

• Graduation in Finance or Business Administration.
• Autonomous and solution-oriented working style.
• Excellent communication in English (B2 level minimum).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Good understanding of the Depositary business and processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform and review quarterly bank and capital account reconciliations between the depositary and the AIFs.
• Obtain and review evidence supporting independence and qualification of the investment valuation process.
• Ensure ownership of assets is evidenced by the company.
• Ensure that investment ledgers are reconciled and updated with the company’s AIF.

Role Summary:
Join Apex Group as a Depositary Support Officer and play an important role in helping to safeguard and oversee Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs). This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong attention to detail, an interest in financial services, and a collaborative mindset.

Working as part of the Depositary team, you will support a range of oversight and asset verification activities, helping to ensure that fund operations are accurately monitored and compliant with regulatory requirements. You’ll collaborate with colleagues across different teams, gain exposure to the alternative investment industry, and contribute to delivering a high-quality service to our clients.

Key responsibilities:

• Perform and review : quarterly bank and capital account reconciliations between the depositary and the AIFs.
• Obtain and review evidence in support of the independence and qualification of the investment valuation process.
• Ensure and evidence that the company has ownership of assets.
• Ensure that investment ledgers are reconciled and updated with the company’s AIF.

Skills & Qualifications needed:

• Successful graduation in preferably Finance/ Business Administration.
• Autonomous and solution oriented working style.
• Excellent communication skills in English (B2 level as minimum).
• Good understanding of the Depositary business.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Strong understanding of product range and operational processes.
• Ability to work under pressure and to fixed deadlines.
