Apex Group in Madrid is seeking an entry-level Associate to support loan transactions, maintain records, process payments, and monitor deadlines within a global team. You will interact with clients and lenders and gain hands-on experience in loan administration at a leading FinTech-enabled financial services provider.

• No previous experience is required, but banking sector experience is a plus.
• Spanish and English are required; additional languages are a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Manage and coordinate Syndicated Loans, Project Finance, Bilateral Loans, Guarantees, Bonds, Factoring, Loan Servicing, and more financing types.
• Understand financing agreements and identify key management aspects over time.
• Monitor borrower compliance with obligations and milestones in financing agreements.
• Register deals in Apex software and manage follow-up, administration and bookkeeping.
• Calculate payments to borrowers and lenders per agreements (fees, interest, principal, redemptions).
• Set interest periods and reference rates for each period.
• Prepare notices to lenders and borrowers per financing agreements.
• Execute payments on due dates (drawdowns, interest, principal, fees).
• Coordinate loan administration across jurisdictions and support as product experts.
• Coordinate agency duties with Transaction Management Team and IT for in-house software development.

Role: Associate - Loan Agency Role Location: Madrid Department: Loan Agency - Loans Admin Team Seniority: Entry level Employment Type: Permanent Role Summary: As an Associate you will help manage and support loan transactions by maintaining records, processing payments, monitoring key deadlines, and communicating with clients and lenders. This is a great opportunity for someone starting their career in finance to gain hands-on experience, develop technical knowledge, and build a strong foundation in loan administration within a global and supportive team.

Key Responsibilities

• Management and coordination of Syndicated Loans, Project Finance, Bilateral Loans, Guarantees, Bonds, Factoring, Loan Servicing, and any other type of financing for which we can provide our services.
• Learn to understand the agreements relating to the different financing for which we provide services, and to be able to determine, over time, the most important aspects that affect our management.
• Monitor and control the periodic or one-off compliance by the borrower of all obligations and compulsory actions and milestones set forth in the financing agreements.
• Register deals in Apex own software and manage their follow-up, administrating and bookkeeping the transactions.
• Calculate any amounts to be paid by the borrowers and lenders in accordance with the agreements such as fees, interests, and principal repayments or redemptions.
• Setting of interest periods and reference interest rates applicable to each period.
• Management of notices or communications to be delivered to the lenders & borrowers and the different Loan Administration Departments, according to the financing agreements.
• Executing the instructions needed to make the necessary payments according to the agreement (drawdowns, interest, principal and fees payments), on each due date.
• Management of the Loan Administration in all jurisdictions in which we may provide our services, giving any additional support when needed, as product experts and Centre of Excellence.
• Coordinate the agency duties with the Transaction Management Team, providing the necessary support when required.
• Cooperate with IT team in developing in-house software.

Skills & Experience required

• No previous experience is required, but experience in the banking sector is a plus.
• Excellent work attitude, quick and willing learner and proficient team player.
• Eagerness to pay attention to detail and going the extra mile in all aspects of the role.
• Spanish & English are a must; but other languages will be consider as a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and professionalism.
• Ability to work under pressure and to prioritize tasks accordingly.
• Ability to take initiative.
• Strong work ethic, a proactive approach and can-do mindset.
• Willingness to learn and get relevant experience in the syndicated loans sector.
