The successful candidate will have a strong background in SDWAN and SASE technologies, excellent communication skills, and a minimum of 5 years in a similar role. Overview

Role Purpose: Vodafone Group launched its new technological HUB in 2021, an international center of excellence dedicated to research and development of technical solutions, such as Secure Networks, 5G and 6G development, Open RAN, IoT, MPN & MEC and UCC for Vodafone Business, platforms and enterprise solutions. This vacancy is part of VOIS Spain, legal entity part of Vodafone Group.

The successful candidate will work as an SDN and Security Product Architect and will have the opportunity to bring to market state-of-the-art business products for business customers on a global footprint. The role is highly interactive and will offer the opportunity to work with several internal departments and external partners as well as Group and Local Markets teams.

The successful candidate keeps up to date on latest technologies, trends and relevant vendors on modern SDN models. They continuously grow in both technical and soft skills areas, with a solution driven mindset. Excellent communication skills are essential in this role, as well as experience in talking to different areas of business, Senior Management and Directors, Product Management, Category Management and Vendors.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities

• Own the end-to-end technical solution from conception to delivery, ensuring products meet requirements and are launched with the right balance of compliance, cost, time, and quality. This includes acting as the technical design authority and reviewing service models, IT architecture, security, and legal policies.
• Translate functional and non-functional requirements into comprehensive, high-level solutions and designs (HLD).
• Create and deliver technical product collateral, such as the Technical Service Description, HLDs, and technical options papers, while providing expert guidance.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure high-quality requirements and a healthy product backlog, while also managing the technical aspects of vendor relationships.
• Support the overall product strategy, identifying opportunities for innovation and ensuring customers benefit from the latest technology.
• Assess and quantify the impact of requirements, including estimating the time and costs for delivery.
• Manage the product lifecycle, from development and in-life operations to end-of-life events.
• Contribute to the creation and evaluation of RFx documents.
• Master complex problems and summarize them in simple terms for different audiences.

What you bring

Core competencies, knowledge and experience:

• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Positive team player attitude, ability to collaboratively address any complex issues
• Strong communication and presentation skills, to both technical and not technical audience
• Expertise in Fortinet SDWAN, SASE technologies & traditional routing
• Experience in dealing with internal stakeholders and external partners as well as with virtual teams geographically dispersed
• Ability to manage multiple & changing priorities and follow-up until delivered
• Proven ability to deal with technically and operationally complex solutions with strict timelines
• Ability to deal with product lifecycle activities
• Relevant higher education in a related field (computer science / networking field with elements of modern SW programming)
• Proficiency in English (C1), spoken and written.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of both Mobile and Fixed Networks
• Working experience with Agile framework
• Proven experience of solution design leadership of telecoms services multi-national mobile operator
• Knowledge of in Cloud and cloud-native application concepts (AWS, GCP, containers/K8S)
• Knowledge of SW Development, DevOps and specifically API methodology and API gateways.
• Next Generation Orchestration & Assurance solutions that enable digitisation.
• Spanish language.
