Job summary

Deutsche Pfandbriefbank AG (pbb) in Madrid seeks an Originator to drive real estate finance opportunities in Spain, expanding the client base and coordinating deal execution. You will prepare and present financing proposals, build client relationships, and contribute to new business ideas within a cross-functional team.

The role requires strong financial modelling skills, fluency in Spanish and English, and experience in real estate lending.

Qualifications

Relevant university degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Law or a comparable discipline.
Previous experience in an active real estate lending environment (bank or debt fund) is desirable.
Strong financial modelling skills and a sound understanding of the Spanish real estate market are highly valued.
Excellent IT skills, including advanced Excel capabilities and strong proficiency in Word and PowerPoint.
Languages: Excellent written and spoken Spanish and English; German is an advantage.
Strong analytical, written and communication skills and commercial mindset.

Responsibilities

Prepare financing proposals for existing and prospective clients in the Spanish real estate market.
Expand the bank’s client base in the Spanish market.
Conduct initial analysis of financing opportunities, identify risks and mitigants.
Prepare detailed financial models incl. cash flow, IRR, debt structuring, tenancy/lease analysis.
Support deal teams through transaction process; prepare memos and committee proposals.
Assist with term sheets and transaction documentation.
Build relationships with clients and market participants; contribute to new business opportunities.
