papernest is seeking a Senior HR Director for Spain to shape and execute the HR strategy across the Spanish organization, coordinating with the Paris-based HR team. You will lead the Spain HR team based in Barcelona and drive organizational development and HR transformation for a rapidly growing European scale-up.

You will oversee payroll, compliance, and Workday administration, build a comprehensive training plan, and collaborate with Talent Acquisition to ensure a strong onboarding experience.

Formación

• Around 10 years of experience in generalist HR roles with team management experience.
• Proven experience leading an HR function in a fast-growing org.
• Strong leadership and people-management capabilities.
• Fluent English; regular collaboration with Paris-based HR team.
• Strong knowledge of Spanish labor law, payroll and employee relations.
• Curiosity for AI and new HR tools (Claude, Cowork) and willingness to experiment.

Responsabilidades

• Define and drive the Spain HR strategy aligned with Group HR strategy.
• Lead, coach and develop the Spain HR team (7 people in Barcelona).
• Be the go-to HR Business Partner across scope: onboarding, offboarding, payroll, employee relations, litigation.
• Lead the Spanish rollout of the Manager DNA programme and redesign the performance review grid.
• Act as strategic partner to leadership, supporting growth and org development.
• Be Spain lead on HR AI-Transformation projects and automation of tasks.
• Ensure payroll compliance, and HRIS administration (Workday).
• Collaborate with France HR team to share best practices across countries.
